I’m glad to complete the Aalto EMBA Marketing Module led by Prof. Hannu Seristö. Our discussions in class through those 5 case studies (LaRoche-Posay, Wine War, Vestas Wind System, Rolex, and Star Alliance) were valuable and inspiring. All the participants identified the problems and shared their points of view.
I particularly like the B2B and B2G business strategy discussion because it relates to the projects I am working on now. My takeaways are that B2B marketing/selling is a long-term game, and it is about building relationships with our potential customers. To achieve this, we must put the customer at the center of everything we do. This means understanding the client’s needs, pain points, goals, and, most importantly, being patient.
It also reminds me of the “Infinite Game Mindset” that Simon Sinek is sharing. There are no winners or losers in the infinite game, and our services should be designed to help each other so that every player can stay in the game.
